Today I got a question from Alex and Alex wants to know how do I report any issues or damages in my storage unit? So maybe you came to visit your storage unit, put something in, take something out and suddenly you see that the door won’t roll up and it’s stuck or you see a little leak or there’s water damage inside of your storage unit. All of these things are like a nightmare scenario but unfortunately they do happen. So who do you turn to in this kind of situation? Well Alex, this is exactly what your customer support and representatives are for. These are the people you’re supposed to contact if there’s anything at all wrong with your actual unit. If you go inside and you see any issue, any malfunction, any problem, the first thing you want to do is contact customer support. So how do you do it? Customer support can be contacted via email, via website online form or via phone call. I do personally recommend when it comes to reporting any kind of issues or damages that you want to get it in writing. Writing an email and attaching videos or photos of the damage will help you keep a record of your complaint and prove that there is some kind of issue so that it doesn’t come back and bite you later that you didn’t actually have it in writing. So Alex, in short, if you have any problem or issue with your storage unit you just have to contact your customer support representative they are supposed to solve the problem for you. Obviously it’s going to be usually with no cost unless you actually cause the damage yourself so don’t worry contact them and I really personally recommend do it in writing to keep a record of it and be safe.
