So if something of yours is damaged during transit with your moving company, your moving company is the one responsible, but how you compensate depends solely on the type of coverage you’ve chosen. I definitely recommend going at least for the full value coverage because obviously the basic coverage is not going to be enough unless you’re transporting a bunch of junk. So if you care about your items, know that things do happen in transit, they happen during loading and unloading. There’s no way to really avoid it, so the best way is to protect it ahead of time. At the very least, get the value of your items protected, insured, so that you don’t regret it later.
