So Raj, the short short answer is it really depends on what you’re storing when it comes to stuff like wine and the example that you gave wine is not allowed to be stored in normal self-storage facilities this is because wine is a perishable items self-storage facilities prohibit perishable items from being stored in their facilities completely because they perish they can rot heat can damage them and it’s just not worth it so if you have a wine collection and you need storage for it what you want to do is go for designated refrigerated storage units they will keep your wine safer for longer and you won’t have to worry about it when it comes to non-perishable collections obviously they can be stored as long as they are not also listed on the list of prohibited items from storage units so this would include any kind of cash like coins bills any kind of currency includes weapons or anything illegal. So you just have to really make sure, read the policy on the storage website and see what they allow for storage and what they don’t allow. And of course, because we know that if we’re collecting something, it’s probably very valuable to us, then you want to make sure it’s stored in the most optimal way.
