In this Flex TV episode, our expert examines the question: “Which Storage Units Are The Cheapest?” Uncover tips and factors that influence storage unit pricing. Learn about different types of storage facilities and strategies to find cost-effective options without compromising on quality.
Today’s question comes to us from Bobby, who wants to know which storage units are the cheapest. Of course, we all want to know that. If you want to store, we want to save money. You don’t want to be paying too much for storage space for your stuff. So this question makes a lot of sense to me. In short, Bobby, the answer is, there are three things that determine the price of the storage unit you are about to rent. The first thing is the type of storage. As you know, we have warehouse storage and we have portable storage. Now for the most part, warehouse storage, or what’s known as traditional storage, will be cheaper than portable storage. However, you do have to take into consideration that if you do store in a warehouse, you’re going to need to rent a truck, You’re going to need to get movers if you need any help loading and unloading. So it might end up actually costing more. Make sure you take all the costs under consideration before you make your final decision. The second thing that determines the price of a storage unit is going to be the size. It’s very simple. The bigger, the more expensive, the smaller, the cheaper, just like everything else. You will be paying more per square foot for the smaller storage units, but in general, if you’re looking at your monthly bottom line, if you want to go cheaper, you’ve got to go smaller. The third thing that’s going to affect your price very significantly is the location. Just like any other real estate, if you’re renting in the city, it’s going to be a lot more expensive than it is in the suburbs. So just like renting an apartment or renting office space in the city, it’s usually going to be more expensive than it is in the suburbs. So obviously that’s something to take into consideration. So in conclusion, Bobby, the storage price on any storage units depends on three major factors, the size, the type, and the location of the storage unit. I hope I answered your question.
